United Brethren has retired.

Weekend celebrations

Friday: Earth Day. Have a look at MESJ's Family Home Evening ideas.

Saturday: For all you Anglophiles, April 23 is St. George's Day. OK, St. George--the Patron Saint of England-- wasn't really English, but Patrick wasn't Irish either. Go enjoy some English food, like Toad-in-the-Hole, and sing "Jerusalem."

Saturday evening/Sunday: Passover. There is a dearth of lamb in the US (or at least in Baltimore), but if you can, cook up a sheep, drink some red-grape juice, and break some unleavened bread. Then watch the 10 Commandments. If you keep an empty space for Elijah, don't jump the gun and read D&C 110. Elijah's appearance to Joseph Smith in Kirtland happened on April 3, 1836 = 16 Nisan 5596, i.e. the second day of Passover (Sunday night/Monday).

Costco typically has good lamb roasts.
